Chilli recipe
Hey
Quick break from the usual…
I wanted to share something simple
that’s been a game changer for me lately—a hearty chili recipe you can make
anywhere (stove or campfire).
No stress. No complicated steps. Just
good food.
🌶️ Classic Chili Recipe
What You’ll Need:
- 1 lb
ground beef (or turkey)
- 1
small onion (chopped)
- 2
cloves garlic (minced)
- 1 can
(15 oz) kidney beans (drained)
- 1 can
(15 oz) black beans (drained)
- 1 can
(28 oz) crushed tomatoes
- 2
tbsp tomato paste
- 1 cup
beef broth (or water)
- 2
tbsp chili powder
- 1 tsp
cumin
- 1 tsp paprika
- ½ tsp
salt
- ½ tsp black pepper
- Optional:
½ tsp cayenne (if you like heat)
🍳 How To Make It:
1. Brown the meat
Cook the ground beef in a pot until browned. Drain any excess fat.
2. Add onion + garlic
Stir them in and cook for about 3–5 minutes until soft.
3. Add the rest
Pour in beans, crushed tomatoes, tomato paste, and broth. Stir well.
4. Season it
Add chili powder, cumin, paprika, salt, pepper, and cayenne if you want it
spicy.
5. Let it simmer
Cook on low for 20–30 minutes (longer if you can). Stir occasionally.
🔥 Campfire Tip:
If you’re making this outdoors, use a cast iron pot and keep it over low
coals—not direct flames. Slow cooking is the secret.
🧀 Optional Toppings:
- Shredded
cheese
- Sour
cream
- Green
onions
- Crackers
or cornbread
Simple… filling… and honestly, one of
those meals that helps you slow down for a minute.
Sometimes that’s exactly what we
need.
Give it a try this week.

P.S. Make a little extra… it tastes
even better the next day.
